Clinical case abstract
A 65-year-old male patient complained of lack of function due to fracture of badly decayed lower right second molar. X-ray and clinical investigations indicated immediate removal of the badly decayed tooth and immediate placement of the Heli implant with respect to surrounding bone and preservation of vital structures (Inferior alveolar nerve). Simultaneous augmentation was preformed after placement of the implant to fill the gaps around the implant and the spaces of the extracted roots.
- Proper size and width of the implant was selected to use the merits of the Heli implant to gain high primary stability.
- Augmentation was preformed to enhance the remodeling phase around the implant.
- Post-operative radiograph was performed to ensure the criteria of proper insertion and the stability of the implant.
